Barcoding is an efficient way to collect, verify and track data. There are one-dimensional code and two-dimensional code(QR code). One-dimensional code consists of bars in different sizes, it includes visible code and invisible code. Barcode data of invisible code is visible on computer after infrared ray scanning. It normally adds one-dimensional code on pvc card. It is suitable for VIP cards, Membership cards,Preferential cards or Discount cards.

There are many kinds of barcode, the most common types are EAN Code(EAN 13 Code and EAN 8 Code), 39 Code, 128 Code. There are EAN 8 Code and EAN 13 Code, it is a serial number of 8 digits or 13 digits. Except the 8th/13rd digit is at random, customers can self combine other digits.

39 Code:

  • Less spaces between bars;
  • Available regular characters: capitalized letters(A-Z), Arabic numerals(0-9);
  • Available special characters: SPACE, Minus, Period, Dollar symbol, Slash, Percent and Plus.

128 Code:

  • More spaces between bars;
  • Available characters: Capitalized letter(A-Z), Arabic numerals(0-9);
  • All standard ASCII symbols.

Other types of barcode such as UPC-A, UPC_EAN128 or UPC-E can be applied according to your card application system.
